B Series Gas Compressors:

The ‘B’ style compressors are used mainly for inert gases in well ventilated areas. Typically they use two or more sets of gas packings on the piston rod and no venting of the packings is available.

Increased gas type sets reduce gas loss, and the number of sets is determined by gas type and pressures. Leakage past the packings will vent directly into the local atmosphere.
